Hello Friends,

I am Anne, a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona, parent of two children in their teen years, married to my best friend since 2001. We make our home in the Sonoran Desert where we appreciate the desert's subtle change in seasons and the smell of creosote after it rains.
I'm learning how to be brave by showing up and being seen. I'm learning how to belong everywhere and nowhere. (Thank you, Brené Brown and Maya Angelou.)
I spend a lot of time wondering how the faith community can be sustained in its justice-seeking, arc-of-history-bending work. I believe it has something to do with friendship and a discerning spirit.
I love the Church. I always have. I love the people of God, the long line of holy people who love and serve and take crazy risks with their whole being.
The Dominicans taught me at the Newman Center at Arizona State University in college, the Franciscans shaped me in a year of direct service in Chicago, and the Jesuits educated me in graduate school in Berkeley. I received my "Anglican dip,” as it is affectionately called, at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific.
I am particularly called to be with people in times of transition and to those places where spirituality and action meet in our lives—places of worship, communities, and world. I am a trained Godly Play storyteller, a Sacred Ground facilitator and a seasoned preacher and priest with twenty years of ministry experience. I delight is serving as an Associate Priest at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I do hope our paths will cross soon.
In the meantime, Take Heart and Be of Good Courage,
Anne+
